after 13 hours of flight! finallY!
Okay.. the pictures i've taken of my room is not v nice.. shall take more and post it next time! Anyways.. we are staying in those houses.. and there's like 7 rooms here! the houses are so cute!! Im glad i made the right choice.. ( though that's like the only choice)..
This week is the orientation week for overseas students so we are like just attending talks for our respective courses.. but everynight, all the overseas students will gather for social functions ( which i thought is pretty cool!)...
Tuesday night was the bollywood film.. "Lagaan".. some oscar nominated movie.. ha.. i thought it was quite nice! ( but abit racist.. actually... after coming here.. i learn alot about racist issue.. shall talk about it later! haha).. and thn...
last night!
oh yah! thn we have this welcome meeting for exchange students today.. and its like.. we are the only asians lor.. Its quite.. i dunno how to say lar.. haha..
tata!! our little houses.. nicey right!! ( i know i wear till v black.. paiseh lar. haha)..
okay! and bout the race and religion issue.. haha.. I think they are probably not as sensitive as sporeans.. Maybe we are being brought up to learn to be sensitive.. Today we went to this information fair.. and the christians are promoting their society and clubs.. then there's like this little "game" that they play.. Its a little story about something and if u get it right, u will get the chance to win some prizes..But the problem is... here's how the story goes:
" there's a hindu, of coz the religion is hindi, and then... his sister had some illness and almost died or something and then she woke up to tell her family she met jesus.." something along this line, and then the questions are like " what's the original religion", "where did he learn the jesus religion from in the end ( the ans is bible)".. kind... After i read it i was like.. WOW! if this is in spore.. I dun think any clubs will issue anything like tat.. ya~
